I wasn’t able to go out today, the sky is threatening to pour down hard again, I was feeling’ like a salt so I stayed home the whole day, it gave me then a chance to roam around the compound shooting just about anything.
There are pots of Kalanchoe in bloom at my uncle’s garden, had focused on some and here sharing.
Traditional medicine suggest that this plant is good to treating hypertension, rheumatism etc., you know when I was younger I used to have boils on my legs – I wonder now how did ever get those dang painful boils? Out of playing in the sun probably. Anyway, I remember then mother will take a leaf, it has this thick and a succulent type leaf, mom would pound it and place on top of my boil – it was really a relief as it’s cold and damp – and of course the healing magical power of plants were in it. Today, while they still exist, they’re nothing but flower in the pot, the healing magic is now diverted over the counter – it’s easier and convenient
